International Women’s Day 2022

This International Women’s Day, we celebrated in style with some of our service users. Together we discussed the purpose of the day and why it is so important for women all over the world. We each picked a woman who is influential in our lives and shared why. Some people read a poem to the group. We played games, ate food, and held a quiz about women and their achievements throughout history. There was a lot of discussion about bias in society today, and what we could do to challenge and subvert it.

It was an uplifting, thought provoking day. We were so proud of the women sharing their stories, lifting each other up and discussing the future.
