Work placements

Anah Project offers a small number of meaningful volunteering opportunities for women who are passionate about supporting survivors and creating positive change. We currently offer two volunteer roles: Support Worker and Bilingual Advocate. Volunteers work closely alongside our experienced staff, gaining insight through shadowing and hands-on learning in a supportive environment.

We especially encourage applications from women from Black, South Asian and Middle Eastern communities, as cultural understanding and multilingual skills are a valuable part of the support we provide. We also warmly welcome volunteers who are studying or have graduated in a related field, such as social studies, law, or other similar disciplines, and who wish to gain practical experience while making a real difference.

Anah Project is committed to supporting Black, South Asian and Middle Eastern women to reintegrate into society and rebuild their lives free from abuse and violence. Our work centres on empowerment — helping women regain confidence, independence, and control over their futures.

Volunteers play an important role in this journey. We ask that all volunteers share and respect our aims, objectives, ethos, and values, which include:

  • Empowering Black, South Asian and Middle Eastern women
  • Positively improving women’s lives
  • Promoting self-belief in women and girls to support recovery and healing

We strongly believe that volunteering with Anah Project is a two-way experience. Alongside supporting women, you will develop valuable skills, deepen your understanding of issues affecting Black, South Asian and Middle Eastern women, and help raise awareness that can be carried forward into your future work and communities.

If you are compassionate, committed, and motivated to contribute to meaningful change, we would love to hear from you.
