International Women’s Day 2021

For International Women’s day this year, we were thrilled to be asked by YRes and Resolution West and North Yorkshire to speak at their celebratory event. The theme this year was #ChooseToChallenge – encouraging all genders and gender identities to unite and challenge inequality in all forms. A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.

Malika Adeel-Azam from Anah Project spoke to the attendees about how we work to build women up after they arrive at the project. She shared some of the knowledge and experience we have gained in our many years of working with women who have fled domestic violence.

Attendees were asked to donate to Anah Project on the day, and we were so thankful to receive donations from many of those who came.
