Helping Women Back into Employment

Many service users that access Anah’s refuge provision have never been in employment before. Skills for employment and secure employment are a key part of successful resettlement, improving physical and emotional wellbeing, financial independence and resilience. With this in mind, Anah has developed an Into Employment Initiative, which is adaptable to survivor’s individual hopes, aspirations and needs. We partnership with local businesses, The Youth Service and the local Job Centre Plus Office.  

The initiative provides opportunities for voluntary work, assists with CV building skills, writing a CV and gaining interview skills. Some service users who have accessed this element have successfully secured notable full time jobs.
