Anah Project at the Zarach and Inn Churches Marketplace Event

On 31 January,  Anah Project had the privilege of attending the Zarach and Inn Churches Marketplace event, an opportunity that allowed us to connect with the community and showcase the vital work we do in supporting Black and Minoritised women and girls in need. We represented Anah Project at the event, where we set up an information stall and engaged with local organisations, service providers, and community members.

The event, organized by Zarach, provided a fantastic platform to share our mission, values, and the range of services we offer. It was an invaluable chance to explain the breadth of our work, including the bespoke training sessions we deliver across various sectors such as schools, community groups, and other organisations. Our approach is designed to help these groups better understand the needs of women and girls we support, particularly those who are fleeing domestic violence, forced marriage, and honour-based violence.

One of the highlights of the event was connecting with other organisations focused on supporting vulnerable families and children. Many of the groups present offered essential services, such as food distribution, mental health support, and housing services. The collaborative spirit at the event was palpable, highlighting the power of partnership in addressing the multifaceted needs of the community.

The networking opportunities provided by the event were crucial for us as we continue to expand our reach and impact. It was also a reminder of the importance of collaboration in tackling social issues. We were able to share insights on how our work aligns with other services in the city and discuss potential partnerships that could further enhance the support we offer.

Overall, the event was a resounding success, and we left feeling energised and inspired by the potential for future collaboration. Anah Project remains committed to supporting women and girls, and events like these allows us to not only raise awareness about the services we offer but also to learn from and work alongside other incredible organisations doing important work.

We look forward to continuing to be part of this community network and finding new ways to collaborate for the betterment of those in need.
